This little intermission is about three pages and I'll get them all up as soon as I can. Chapter 3 is all written up now so I can start drawing it immediately after this is over.
Last week I ordered a book called "Hi-Fi Coloring for Comics," but it turned out to be a mistake purchase. This is more of "HOW TO APPLY COLOR WITH PHOTOSHOP" tutorial and less the "HOW TO HARMONIZE YOUR DIGITAL COLORS" tutorial I really need. :| There's an adventure comic I need to reboot one of these days but I need to learn how to pick good colors. I've already been slapping color via Photoshop for twelve years now. It's definitely a great book for Photoshop first-timers, though!
I can understand your desire to want to get better at harmonizing colors, but I do have to say I like how you use just splashes of color for now. Can't really put the reason why into words.
I guess I just get pretty envious when I see other artists really raise the bar with how they pick colors. It would be too much of a drastic change to put this comic in full color (along with many more hours of work put on each page) so I won't be making that kind of change anytime soon.
April 2022 - Updates are still on a spontaneous schedule. I did an every-Thursday update for a while,
but I'm now entering my fourth month of Mandatory Overtime at work, plus I'm also working on commissions and
Immortal Fool's finale.
Chapter 6 of HiEx is running a bit long, but it is ending soon, and there will be some additional pages, not quite chapter 7,
that will wrap up the storyline of the second book. Will I do another Kickstarter for that? I dunno. I'll figure things out when the time comes.
